Liam Runciman’s Italian Adventure
St Ninian’s High School pupil Liam Runciman (3a6) represented the Scotland Under 15’s football team who competed in an international tournament in Italy recently.
Liam really enjoyed the experience and featured in all 3 games against Germany, Italy and then Russia. Scotland were a little unlucky to lose their first match 2 – 0 against eventual tournament winners Germany. However, they twice came from behind to draw 2 – 2 with hosts Italy and they dominated from start to finish against Russia without finding the net, drawing 0 – 0.

The SFA are very pleased with the performances as at last year’s tournament Scotland didn’t manage to secure any points.
