Feast of Saint Clare
Born in Assisi in around 1194, Saint Clare followed Saint Francis of Assisi in his life of poverty. She founded the order of the Poor Clares.
Best wishes to the children, young people, and staff of St Clare’s on this your special feast day. The life of Saint Clare will be an inspiration to the children and young people of our new catholic primary school.
Wishing pupils, parents and staff a beautiful beginning to your new school on Monday 14th August.
Ad multos annos.
Welcome to the Saint Ninian’s Cluster family of schools – St. Cadoc’s, Our Lady of the Missions, St. Joseph’s, and Saint Ninian’s.
On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Tuesday, 15th August, Monsignor Monaghan will be celebrating Mass for the teachers of our schools as we begin a new academic year. I am sure he will be offering a special prayer for the community of Saint Clare’s.
Monsignor Monaghan will be remembering also the pupils, parents and staff of Calderwood Lodge who will share the new faith campus with St. Clare’s.
