Christmas Charity Campaigns
Our pupils are working hard to raise money for charity throughout Advent in the lead up to Christmas.
S1 and S2
Cardinal Winning Pro Life Initiative for women who may not see being pregnant as the joy that it is and may consider abortion. As well as emotional and spiritual support, the Initiative offers real and practical support to women and to families. Led by our Life Group, we encourage pupils to donate items for a new born baby.
S3
Mary’s Meals Backpack Appeal. Launched by a lesson on Mary’s Meals and a visit to class from a representative from Mary’s Meals. The backpacks will support the education of children in the Developing World. Pupils have a note of required backpack contents.
S4 and S6
S4 and S6 are asked to support a local food bank by donating items. All items should have good ‘use by/best before’ date.
S5
S5 will be involved in supporting The Simon Community Scotland working for vulnerable persons, especially young adults. They will be asked to donate a rucksack full of useful items. A speaker from the organisation spoke to all classes Tuesday 6 December or Thursday 8 December.
