An Exceptional Teacher
It is with great sadness that we heard that Mr. Thomas McBrearty died early this morning.
Tom was Principal Teacher of Chemistry, until he retired two years ago.
He was a highly respected teacher who loved being a classroom teacher.
He was one of the first teachers appointed in 1984 to Saint Ninian’s High School and his service to our school community of pupils (past and present), staff, and parents was outstanding.
The success of Saint Ninian’s owes much to the commitment of exceptional teachers such as Tom McBrearty.
Tom’s passion for teaching young people was inspiring to all who knew him and who had the privilege of being taught by him.
Tom was a great family man and we remember in our prayers and thoughts Tom’s family – his wife, Patricia, and children, Laura, James and Claire, and his new grand-daughter, Katherine Margaret.
May the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph watch over them at this time.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace, Amen.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
