SQA “Beyond the Exam”
“Beyond the Exam” is a short film which highlights key parts of how the Scottish qualifications system. It aims to give candidates and their families a clearer insight into the journey of an exam paper from its creation through to results day.
It follows three young people in S4 and S5 to explain different paths through the qualifications system, taking into account the changes to qualifications as a result of Curriculum for Excellence. It demonstrates how SQA ensures national standards are maintained over time, so all candidates are treated fairly.
The film was made by students at City of Glasgow College, as part of their Higher National Qualification.
