Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Public Speaking Competition
Four S2 members of the St Ninian’s Public Speaking and Debate Society (Ruth Edgar, Megan Gordon, Kate Gordon and Ruth Rodriguez) had the pleasure of participating in the East Renfrewshire round of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Public Speaking Competition on Monday night. The pupils were supported by Holly Edgar (S6) who assisted in training the pupils for the event and carrying out time keeping responsibilities on the night.
Congratulations to Kate Gordon and Ruth Rodriguez who, as a team, won the round and will progress to the next heat which will take place after Christmas in a Sheriff Court.
Both teams performed exceptionally well and found the evening a great opportunity to meet like-minded public speakers, hone their skills and receive quality feedback from the judging panel. Well done and good luck for the next heat Kate and Ruth!
