Former Pupil Earns BAFTA Nomination!
Congratulations and good luck to former St Ninian’s High School pupil Kiran Sawar who has been nominated for a BAFTA Scotland award for her role in Black Mirror (Crocodile). She has also had roles in BBC dramas ‘Casualty’ and ‘Holby City.’
In an interview with www.glasgowlive.co.uk she said of her time at St Ninian’s:
I did Drama as a Higher in my Sixth Year at St Ninian’s High in Giffnock. I really really enjoyed it and in Drama you were allowed to play who you wanted to play. You were not inhibited by your race and class. I got to play characters such as Abigail from the Crucible.
We wish Kiran all the very best and hope she may be able to visit and inspire the next generation of BAFTA nominees!
