National Chemistry Award Winners
Congratulations to outgoing Sixth Year pupil Alexander Macdonald who achieved the highest mark in Scotland for his Advanced Higher Chemistry Project in the 2018 examinations.
Congratulations also to Amina Hussain (5a8) who achieved the highest National 5 Chemistry mark in Scotland in the 2018 examinations.
They will receive their award certificates at the “Science and the Parliament” event hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry at Our Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh on 14th November 2018.
This now means that St Ninian’s pupils achieved the following national awards:
- Advanced Higher Chemistry Project – Alexander Macdonald (formerly 6a10)
- Advanced Higher Mathematics – Caitlyn Martin (formerly 6a7)
- Higher Physics – Emma Martin (6a4)
- Higher Biology – Alexander Macdonald (formerly 6a10)
- National 5 Chemistry – Amina Hussain (5a8)
We are delighted for all of the pupils and their families. It also demonstrates the hard work of all pupils, parents and staff in promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects.
