S2 Creative Industries Project
The S2 Creative Industries class has been working on a project in conjunction with Barrhead Water Works and the East Renfrewshire Arts Coordinator. Following a site visit, pupils came up with the idea of a creating a mosaic and worked with Miss Goodenough, Miss Joice and Mr Blair to develop a design. This interdisciplinary learning and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) opportunity enabled pupils to work with new materials such as concrete and to get hands on experience of tiling. The resulting mosaic also features the pupils’ initials and will soon become an outdoor installation at the Barrhead Water Works.
