Pupil Achievement – Kiera Chan (1a9)

Congratulations to Kiera Chan (1a9) who was awarded a bronze medal for WOSCA (West of Scotland Cycling Association) 2016 Road Crit Series.  The presentation was held on Saturday 19th November by Scottish Cycling.  The medal was for her 3rd place ranking in points accumulated over the 2016 road race season for under 12 youth category.

Kiera is an extremely keen cyclist, on the road and at the velodrome in the Emirates Arena.  She trains at least 3 times a week with her club and with the coaches at the velodrome. She has shown substantial progress since she started over 2 years ago, inspired by the amazing Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.  Her hard work, passion and dedication in cycling has been recognised by both her club and her coaches.  She was awarded Cyclist of the Year 2015 and in the 2016 season she had many podium finishes which resulted in her bronze medal last Saturday.
