Pupil Achievement
Congratulations to Sophie Macpherson (1a6) who finished 8th overall in the Scottish Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Perth over the weekend.
This was the first time that Sophie was eligible to compete at this event competing in the Espoir (under 14) age group. This competition was also one of the opportunities for the Olympic gymnasts to gain qualifying scores for Rio 2016.
Sophie competed against another 23 gymnasts some of them a year and level above her. Sophie also qualified for the beam and floor final which took place yesterday. She managed to secure a bronze medal on floor and gold on beam making her the Scottish Espoir Beam Champion.
