Teenage Booster Immunisation Monday 26th February 2024

On Monday 26th February  the Teenage Booster vaccination (DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio) and MenACWY (MeningitisACWY)  will be administered by NHS staff to S3 pupils (girls and boys) in school as well as catch up Immunisation for some s4 to s6 pupils.

You will have received in advance an NHS parent information and consent pack, which explains the Teenage Booster Immunisation programme. This pack will be issued to your child in school this week.

Please ensure that you have completed the consent form and your child has returned this in the brown envelope to the school office by Friday 26th January.

This allows the NHS Immunisation Team and school staff to facilitate the Immunisations and avoids delay and further disruption to the school day. Nurses have to make contact with parents to seek consent if the consent has not been returned.

Pupils should attend school on Monday 26th February wearing a short-sleeved shirt or their PE polo shirt underneath their shirt.

Please ensure that pupils eat breakfast before coming to school and have plenty of water to keep hydrated.

Kind regards,

School Office
