Parent Letter FINAL

We are asking that parents collect the test kits this week at the time slot advised in email sent on Friday 12th February. Please use the Games Hall Entrance/ Fire Exit Doors.

Parents will be issued with 9 tests which should last pupils for 4-5 weeks.

This programme is voluntary and pupils do not need to take part. However we are strongly encouraging all senior phase pupils to participate in this testing programme.

Some Senior Phase pupils in S4, S5 and S6 will be invited through a phased return to school to complete practical work that is required for their course award from the week beginning 22nd February. Further information will be provided detailing dates and times for those pupils who should attend. Senior phase pupils in S4,S5, S6 should begin testing before they are due to return to the school building.

Once you have test kits at home pupils should self-test before the day they return to school . Pupils should then test regularly at home, twice a week (every three to four days, ideally in the morning before school).

If your son/ daughter is not returning to school he/she does not need to begin testing. If your son/daughter has recently (within 90 days) tested positive for coronavirus, he/she should not take part in the regular testing. Please refer to the updated instruction leaflet issued with the test kits on how to administer the test .The instruction leaflet inside the box should be discarded . There is a useful video showing participants how to administer the test here:
