The Sutton Trust, is a charity that champions social mobility.
Applications for the free 2020 Summer Schools are now open!
What are the Summer Schools?

This year over 2000 students on a Sutton Trust Summer School will experience university life through:
- spending a week in halls of residence at one of 13 leading UK universities
- attending academic sessions in one of over 40 different subjects
- meeting like-minded students from across the UK and taking part in social activities
It is completely free for students to attend. All costs including travel, accommodation, food and activities are covered by the Trust and their partners.
Impact
Students who take part in a Sutton Trust Summer School:
- increase in confidence
- receive application support
- make informed choices about university
- gain access to our outstanding alumni community
A recent UCAS study showed that participants were 4.5 times more likely to accept an offer from a leading university than their peers. 136 students from Glasgow and Strathclyde attended a Sutton Trust Summer School last year.

How can students apply?
To apply for the programme, students must:
- Be in S5 in
- Have always attended a UK state-funded secondary school/college (non-fee paying)

Applications close at midday on Tuesday 3rd March, with teacher verification closing at midday on Friday 6th March
