Movember 2015

Many thanks to all pupils, parents and staff who supported the ‘Wear it Pink Day’ in aid of Breast Cancer Now by baking and buying cakes.  This was a huge success and the group raised £300.

As one campaign ends, another begins! The S6 Health and Wellbeing group are now calling for willing male pupils, parents, staff and friends who would like to take part in Movember.  Movember is to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate and testicular cancer.  For more information about the charity click here.

We ask for male volunteers who would like to grow a moustache during the month of November and we will encourage pupils and staff to sponsor them. For those who already have facial hair it has been suggested that they could maybe shave it off and start again so that they wouldn’t feel left out.  The S6 HWB group will document their progress throughout the month through photographic evidence however the photos are optional.

We are delighted that a number of people have already expressed that they would like to get involved however it would be great to have more volunteers.

Please let  Mr Fuchs know if you would like to take part.
