World Refugee Day – Friday 20 June
‘World Refugee Day’ is observed on June 20 each year. This is dedicated to raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.
Nadim often writes reflections about his life as a refused asylum seeker in London. During Refugee Week 2014, he shares his motivations for leaving his country and family, his experience of the journey he made to find safety in the UK and the challenges of destitution. He takes part in creative writing sessions at the Jesuit Refugee Service UK in London.
