Update from Head Teacher

Dear parent/carer,

I hope that you found the Parents’ Night report valuable and my thanks go to our staff for facing the challenges of this event in a professional and diligent manner. I would ask that you take the time to look at the class displays on your child’s blog (P1-3) or their Google Classroom (P4-7). This should give you some insight into the learning journey from August until now. I will repeat that the children have just been a credit to you all. All feedback welcomed (fill in Form, by following link, for responses).

As we begin our October school break, I would like to refer you to our publication from the Educational Psychology team:

https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/public/healthierminds/uploads/sites/18270/2020/02/14102607/Healthier-Minds-parents-FINAL.pdf

Perhaps with the new restrictions it is time to give ourselves a bit of breathing space and look after our mental wellbeing. You might find the document useful for strategies and reflection.

Lots to look forward to in the new term. In light of the unprecedented times, I have given the go ahead for class parties on 30th  October. Watch out for updates on the class WhatsApp groups for PSA Halloween activities. If you have any decorations you are not using this year and wouldn’t mind letting the classes borrow, we would much appreciate it and children could bring in on return.

Please all keep safe and well. As Pope Francis has said “To live by faith, means to put our lives in the hands of God, especially in our most difficult moments.” Could any words be more apt at this time?

God Bless
