Looking for something to keep the kids busy over the Easter holidays? Our camps are a great way for them to have fun, meet new friends and learn lots of new skills. They will include plenty of fun games, team events, tennis activities, co-ordination and movement games, tennis matches, other sports and a whole lot more!
Entertainment will include DJ Dan from Kidnetics, Temporary Tattoo Parlour at 50p each, Tuck Shop selling sweets, juice and water & our GLOW shop with pricesfrom 75p to £2.50.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – we need 16 helper for each disco.
We are looking for parents, grandparents and other adult volunteers to help deliver cycle training in our school. Volunteers will work with school staff to deliver Bikeability Scotland level 2 – a modern version of the cycle proficiency course.
Newton Mearns Baptist Church is hosting the above event to mark Fairtrade Fortnight 2017 and would be delighted to welcome entries to our Bake Off competition from the pupils of Mearns Primary School. There will be a separate adults and children’s competition and the judge will be our local MP Kirsten Oswald.
Transfer paperwork for P7 pupils will be sent home with your child by the end of January. If you intend to apply for a place at your catchment school you do not require to do anything in the meantime. If however you wish to make a placing request to an ERC Secondary School, other than your catchment school, you should apply online by 31st January 2017.

The P2 and P3 ER Olympic Club will resume this term and will run for a period of 6 weeks.
P2 Olympics take place on a Wednesday from 12.45pm – 1.20pm in the PE Hall. It will commence on Wednesday, 18 January and run until Wednesday, 1 March 2017 at a cost of £11.
P3 Olympics take place on a Friday from 12.45pm – 1.20pm in the PE Hall. It will commence on Friday, 20 January and run until Friday,3 March 2017 at a cost of £11.
We are looking for an expression of interest from pupils who wish to participate in the forthcoming sessions. Interested pupils should return slips by Thursday, 12 January.
The Education Committee today approved the recent consultation on proposed new arrangements to school admissions, the transfer of pupils from primary to secondary school and placing requests.
School admissions, pupil transfers from primary to secondary and placing requests will be administered in line with the new arrangements from January 2017 and beyond. Any placing request applications for school places in academic session 2017-18 submitted before January 2017 will be accepted however, please note that they will be processed in line with the new policy; there will be no need for parents/carers to submit another application.
