The Big Brew and Bake Off Competition

FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 2017

The Big Brew and Bake Off Competition: Saturday 25th February 11am-2pm

 

Newton Mearns Baptist Church is hosting the above event to mark Fairtrade Fortnight 2017 and would be delighted to welcome entries to our Bake Off competition from the pupils of Mearns Primary School. There will be a separate adults and children’s competition and the judge will be our local MP Kirsten Oswald.

P7 to S1 Transition Paperwork

Dear Parent / Carer

Transfer paperwork for P7 pupils will be sent home with your child by the end of January. If you intend to apply for a place at your catchment school you do not require to do anything in the meantime. If however you wish to make a placing request to an ERC Secondary School, other than your catchment school, you should apply online by 31st January 2017.

P2 and P3 ER Olympic Club

The P2 and P3  ER Olympic Club will resume this term and will run for a period of 6 weeks.

P2 Olympics take place on a Wednesday from 12.45pm – 1.20pm in the PE Hall. It will commence on Wednesday, 18 January and run until Wednesday, 1 March 2017 at a cost of £11.

P3 Olympics take place on a Friday from 12.45pm – 1.20pm in the PE Hall. It will commence on Friday, 20 January and run until Friday,3 March 2017 at a cost of £11.

We are looking for an expression of interest from pupils who wish to participate in the forthcoming sessions. Interested pupils should return slips  by Thursday, 12 January.

Please note that there will be no teacher led clubs next week as it is Parent/Teacher Interview week. The clubs affected are:

Monday: P6 Debating, P7 Science Club and P6/7 Netball

Tuesday: No teacher led clubs affected

Wednesday: P7 Photography, P5 Homework Club and P3 Singing Club

Thursday: P5-P7 Badminton, P5 German Club and P5-7 Senior Choir

Friday: No teacher led clubs affected
