Well done to everyone in Mearns Primary
Thank you to everyone who participated in Wear Something Orange Day in memory of Andrew Ferrier.
We managed to raise over £1000 which will be donated to CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) in Andrew’s memory.
Well done to everyone…but especially to the boys and girls in Primary 4.14 and Mrs Boisson.
Wear Something Orange – Tuesday 18 June 2013
Tuesday 18 June will be a Wear Something Orange Day. This is to celebrate the life if Andrew Ferrier. Orange was Andrew’s favourite colour. As well as wearing something orange, we ask that everyone bring a donation for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).
Andrew’s class will be involved in a celebration in the Eco Garden, when an orange flowering bush, provided by Mrs Ferrier, will be planted. The children will release orange balloons.
Well Done Mrs Ferrier!
Mrs Ferrier successfully completed the Women’s 10k on Sunday 12 May.
If you would like to make a donation, please click on the link below or send donations to the school office.
Thank you
P4 Malawi Evening
Dear P4 Parents/Carers,
We are writing to invite you to our Malawi evening, this will be held on Wednesday 22 May from 6pm till 7pm at Mearns Primary School in the Street area. We would like you to come and see all the fantastic hard work that we have put into this.
On that evening there will be a Malawi classroom that all the P4 children have already experienced. There will also be African art work, a silent auction, singing of `Fatou yo` and a display of Malawian artefacts .We will be raising money for Mary’s Meals, this is a charity which helps schools in Malawi feed the children that go to that school. They give the children Nisma because it makes them strong and helps them to concentrate in school.
This will be a fantastic night and we hope you can come and enjoy the fun with us.
Yours sincerely
Amy P4.20
On behalf of all the P4 pupils
