Clicker 7

Clicker 7 Webinar

Reminder about the Clicker 7 webinar this morning at 10:30 with Carolyn from Cricksoft, a valuable software supporting literacy skills.

A text and email has been sent to parents with the link to join the sessions which will take place at 10:30 and 1:30pm.

Isobel Mair school has a site licence for Clicker 7 and this
allows parents to have access at home to use with
their child.

 

 

Clicker 7 webinar for IMS parents will take place on Monday 9th September.

Session1-10:30am and session 2 -1:30pm.

A text will be sent on Friday  with the log in details.

Prior to the meeting, might be useful to test your connection. Just to ensure that you can access everything and hear OK from the laptop/PC that you will be using.

Sessions can take place at home or we can arrange for the webinar in the conference room. Please let the school office know if you are coming into school to access the webinar.

Clicker 7 is a literacy toolkit that we use with some of our pupils
in IMS. Parents can now have access to this software at
home to support their children.

Carolyn, Education Consultant  (Cricksoft) will demonstrate how to use Clicker 7 and  the support  it offers to emergent, developing and
struggling readers and writers.

 

 

Sensory Workshops

Classes Iona and  Shetland worked together to prepare and set up a sensory showcase for their families and friends from the primary department.

Everyone had a great day exploring the nursery rhyme themes sensory day.

Some of the parents then joined class Iona as part of the showcase and took part in their morning group.

Well done everyone for a great day.

SupERkids iPad Training

SupERkids are pleased to invite the parents of our SupERkids to an event where you will learn how to use your iPad / tablet.

The Family Fund is running a project to support families to get the best from their iPads. They are running some free sessions
for families with an approved Apple Education Trainer. Training sessions will be tailored to cover topics most suited to parents’ and carers’ needs.

The session will take place on Thursday 24th November from 6:30-8:30pm.

Aerial Experiences at IMS

Everything is all set for the Aerial experiences with Everybody Dance an Inclusive community and aerial dance company born from Blue Eyed Soul Dance.

Staff, including our dance specialist from Waterbaby Dance and Dirty Feet dance companies having some training and then the pupils are all set to fly…….. Exciting week ahead at IMS.

Open Forum Day

The Self Directed Support Forum

Are you interested in attending The Open Forum Day on Monday 19th October? 

The forum will include a presentation about what is happening with the ILF (Independent Living Fund) and PAMIS  are going to give a presentation about Communication passports on the iPad and other related IT skills in relation to care. SDSForumERThey will also be an opportunity for chat and questions afterwards.
