Welcome back everyone
We hope you all had a fabulous and peaceful Summer Holiday. Our new term has now started and we welcomed lots of new staff and pupils to school this morning.
This afternoon we had a “Getting to know you” assembly to celebrate the beginning of our new term and to welcome all our new staff and pupils to the school. Everyone received certificates from Mrs Clark, Mr Crossan and Miss Scrimgeour.
Wow another amazing year with so many wonderful experiences that we have all shared.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all incredible young people, staff and parents for all your support this year and I wish you all a
well-deserved summer break.
Thank you to the Parent Council for their continued support.
Thank You to the Family Centre staff and parents and farewell to all the children moving onto school. We welcome all the new children to the Family Centre and those transferring to Isobel Mair School.
Special thanks to the ground force team who have made the sensory garden a much more accessible and welcoming environment for all of our young people. Thanks to parents who have worked in partnership with us throughout the year at Coffee and Chat, AAC communication club, Mellow Parenting and many many more.
We look forward to continuing these initiatives next session to make Isobel Mair School even better.
Thank you to the Head Boy and Head Girl who have done a great job supporting the school this year and for being excellent ambassadors for East Renfrewshire.
To all the leavers Aden , Natalie ,Sean ,Christopher, Jamie, Andrew, Bilal, Fraser ,Sophie , Sara, Alex and Jonathan we will all miss you so much please keep us updated with your progress and don’t forget you are always welcome, look out for dates on the website.
To all those returning in August and the new pupils starting for their first term at IMS we look forward you welcoming you after the summer break on the 15th August.

As part of a pilot project being run at the school, we would like to invite you to attend two taster sessions of a programme called ‘Healthy Lives at IMS’. The project will focus on educating the young people about healthy eating and exercise, with support of their families.
Healthy Lives @ IMS
Wednesday 1st June, 6:00 – 8:00pm

Each taster session will be structured as follows:
Places on the programme are limited and must be booked in advanc,. If you wish to reserve a place for you and your child, please complete the sign off form sent home via the home school diaries.

Play Club/Jump Club
SupERkids – run for our children by their parents – are pleased to invite you to our Play Club. This is for either our young people to either bounce on the inflatables (if wet) and if dry go outside and participate in team events suitable for their age range. It should be a lot of healthy fun!
Dates Thursday 19th May – 30th June
Duration 60 minutes per session
Location Isobel Mair School grounds
Cost £15 for 7 weeks which includes drinks and snacks.

Our parent gardening group are hard at work in the sensory garden this morning. We are grateful the sun is shining again……
It’s looking great and the pupils and staff appreciate all your help.
Man’s World will be in school on Wednesday 18th May from 10 – 11:30am.
Uniform will be available for purchase on the day.
Reminder that the AAC@IMS Communications Club organised by one of our parents (Tracey Campbell) will take place tomorrow evening from 7-8pm.

The sun was shining for our Parent Ground Force team this morning in the sensory garden.
They spent some time giving our benches a makeover and they are now looking fabulous, photos to follow.
We are supporting Cash for Kids Superhero Day on Friday & looking for Superhero items for our raffle hamper. Can you help out?
Friday 13th May, we are supporting Clyde 1’s Cash for Kids day.
We ask that all children wear a superhero costume and bring in £1. We are also raffling a Superhero Hamper with tickets selling for £1 a strip.
If you are able to donate anything superhero related to go into the hamper please send it in next week- we really appreciate your support!
