Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund

Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund, a source of financial support for anyone experiencing hardship at this time.  With the news that schools are due to close from Friday, more families may struggle with the extra costs of feeding their families. The fund is to support anyone under the age of 21, and is available to support parents with children at home.

It’s accessed by application via a sponsor (a professional who knows the beneficiary, who makes the application. A WCS worker can do this).

Awards are typically £150-£200 and are for tangible items for those in crisis such as food, nappies, baby formula, electricity cards – etc

** Please note, although the form states that it requires to be printed and signed, in light of home working arrangements, Aberlour will accept these by email, without a signature. Just type your name into the field instead.**

Applications are currently being fast tracked with funds being released within a few days. Details on how to apply, and the form to use is here https://www.aberlour.org.uk/service-category/urgent-assistance-fund/

If you are making an application, please let me know and I can provide the bank details. Please make sure to mention Who Cares? Scotland on the application as those administering the fund are keen to support the Care Experienced community in particular.
