Thank You

Many thanks to the Strathclyde University PGDE students who presented Mrs Clark and staff with a lovely card, flowers & chocolates yesterday.

The students were undertaking the professional Specialism Masters class with a focus on:-

  • Engagement (learners and learning)
  • Literacy

Staff and pupils  loved sharing our experiences with the students  and supporting the next generation of teachers.

We look forward to working with the next cohort of students.

Snow much fun!

Class Arran brought the outdoors Indoors as part of their 50 things to do before you leave IMS.

They had great fun exploring the sensory properties of snow and made tiny snowman.

Jasmine, our bilingual support worker judged the competition and declared that peter Brown was the winner, well done Peter.

Autism Friendly Opticians

Did you know that Specsavers, Trongate have been working with the national Autistic Society to become Scotland’s first autism-friendly optician.

Staff in store received the Autism Friendly Award by learning about the condition and making small adjustments to the way they work.

The introduction of quiet zones on a Tuesday and Friday where there will be no music or television played from 09:30am until 11.00am – and staff attendance at an autism awareness talk from the National Autistic Society – has led to the prestigious accolade being awarded to the store.
