Euler is learning about weight. There are 1000g in a kg, we have been learning to convert weights. Pythagoras have been learning about multiples and factors. We played a game with a partner which was fun.

We created posters to advertise our Victorian Jobs and we had a job fair where we went round taking notes and learning about different jobs Victorian children could have had. We then had to decide which job we would want and why. We had a great time! In writing we created a leaflet using our notes about the various jobs children could have had in the Victorian times.

In spelling we have been learning about the suffixes ship and hood. We have been creating different words with these suffixes and completing different active spelling tasks.

In ICT we have been presenting the slideshows we created to the class. It has been great to share our knowledge with each other and learn how to create engaging slideshows.

In Science we continued to learn about the digestive system. We did an experiment to see how the digestive system works. We mashed up food and mixed it with salvia, stomach acid and bile (water). We then put it through a pair of Mrs Lamont’s tights (the intestines!) and cut a hole at the bottom. It was very interesting and fun to watch! It was also a bit gross!!

We have been learning about how to stay safe on the roads. We watched a video about how we can design cars in the future to be safer. We created a road safety poster and different fun activities to do with being safe.

In French we have been learning about colours. We have been speaking and writing in French!

In music we have been working on Tam o’Shanter. We did a listening test this week to see what we need to work on.

We have started our Christmas Window preparations and we are excited to perform it in two weeks!
