We would like to tell you about our learning this week.

 

Maths

In maths we have been playing new mental maths games. One of them is called dice roll. The teacher chooses a target number.  We work in our group and everyone has a turn of throwing the dice. We then add the numbers together to get an overall total. The group nearest to the number wins a point but you cannot go over the target number you are bust! It helps our addition skills.

Another game is loop cards. we are all given cards with a question and a number on it. We have to listen carefully to see if our number relates to the question asked. Then it is our trurn to read our card question. We have to know place value to play this game and it certainly tests our listening skills!!

 

P.E

In P.E we have been practisng our golf skills. We are using golf clubs and golf balls to hit specific targets.   There was 6 cones to hit and we had to try our best to hit them. The group that finshed first won the game.
