Dissolving Discoveries and Super Solutions!

This week Primary 4 have been learning to be scientists! We have carried out an experiment to discover which solids will dissolve in water.  Dissolving means the solid disappears completely and you can’t see any particles left. Solids that will dissolve are soluble. We used flour, sugar, salt, chalk and sand. We had to make sure that the experiments were a fair test by leaving each solid to dissolve for the same time, using the same amount of water and the same amount of each solid.

We had a great time experimenting and can’t wait for our next science experiment!
