This week in Primary 2 we have been learning about…

 

In language Mrs Grubb’s side have been continuing to learn about the main idea. We learned by reading a story together from the whiteboard and then we all decided on what was the main idea. The main idea is the main theme of what the story is about. Alexander

In maths this week Mrs Robertson’s side were learning to solve problems. They were solving a murder mystery and by using the clues and seeing what suspect was left at the end. Emily and Cameron

Mrs Robertson has been teaching her language side how to write by joining up the letters. Mrs Robertson shows us what to do and then we trace it on a worksheet. Calum

In science this week we have been continuing to learning about energy. We were working in different groups this week. One group got to investigate light on the computer. Another group were cutting out household items from a magazine and we had to stick this in the correct place on a venn diagram to show if they gave out sound, light or heat or a mixture of the above. The final group had to write why sound, light and heat energy are important in our lives and then we could also draw a picture to show this. Corinne, Alexander, Riley and Lily.

In art this week we were making patterns using masking tape. We had to mix our own secondary colours and paint in the spaces. Rebecca

For digital literacy week we watched a short film about how to be safe on the computer. We also watched a short film called ‘Pigeon Impossible’ it was very funny! We then had to complete a profile on one of the characters. Naomi, Rebecca and Emily C

In language this week the Harry Potter’s have been practising their spelling. We had to listen to the word and write it down.

Primary 2 this week worked with the children at St. Cadocs we learned how to work in a group and how to make a kite. Areeb
