Our Diaoramas

Making Our Diaoramas

Our Diaoramas

New Primary 2!

We are writing this blog today as very different people! It is book day and we have all enjoyed dressing up as our favourite characters from our favourite books. We have a dinosaur, a wizard, some witches, a tin man, Gretel, A pirate, some superheroes, a thing 2, Matilda, a Dalmatian, Snow White, Belle, footballers, Willie Wonka and Harry Potter! Even Mrs Grubb has turned into a leopard!
In primary 2 this week we have been learning about sight. We learned by doing some different experiments. We learned we all have a blind spot in each eyeball. We also learned that sometimes we can confuse our brain and that we cannot always rely on our sight.
We were also learning about smell. We watched a short video about the nose and we look at what is inside our noses! We learned what makes a bogie!! Alexander, Corinne and Cameron.
In maths we have been learning about problem solving. We had to pick a two digit number and use different numbers to make the answer. We even did timetables. Emily C and Cameron
In language we made a Diaorama. We made a 3d model of a part of our book that we brought in for book day. Then we wrote a summary of the story and stuck it on. Corinne
In writing we have been learning how to write letters. We had a letter from Cinderella this week! We replied back and remembered to include our address, a date and why we are writing. We were trying to cheer Cinderella up!
In maths I was learning how to count money. Naomi
In art we have continued to do our collage. Our lion faces are almost finished! Riley
