22.2.19 P7a

On Monday, we had our maths standardised test, and we all worked really hard to complete it.

Today we have completed the mini-mudder.  We had to complete an obstacle course and we all got very muddy but it was very fun.  We also got to watch P5B’s WW2 assembly, it was very entertaining to learn about different families in the war.

Turing and Newton moved on to a new maths topic.  We have been looking at data analysis and we made misleading graphs to put on an advert for a new product that we created.

Euler and Pythagoras are working on word problems in maths.  We have been working on our problem solving skills.

In art we made mosaics out of old magazines.  It was very messy, and slightly tricky, but very fun!

We got to join with P7B for P.E today with Mr Brown.  We played a great game of islands and it was very competitive between the two classes.

On Wednesday we did orienteering in P.E with Mrs Lamont.  We had to find the markers around the school using a map.  It was great fun!  We also created leaflets in writing about a topic of our choice.  Next week we will add more information and pictures to our leaflets.

In social studies we have made plays of different Greek myths.  We performed them to the class and got lots of good feedback.

We also got to find out what our next science topic will be – Space!!

In ICT we have continued to look at internet safety.  We completed the last interland. This was all about being kind.  Being kind on the internet can make people feel good, and we know that we should never cyberbully.  We also learned how to be an up stander online, helping those who are being cyberbullied.

Unfortunately, it is Miss Dunn’s last day today.  We are all very sad that she is leaving.
