Primary 5 Trip
This week Primary 5 visited the new Barrhead Foundry. They had the opportunity to see the new facilities and they especially enjoyed the new library.

House Quiz
The winners of the House Quiz 2014 are Craigie. The prize is an additional ‘two weeks’ win to add to their total for this term. The final was extremely close and went to a tie breaker between Craigie and Shanks. As a close runner up Shanks have been awarded an extra ‘one week’ win to their total for this term. Well done to the members of every quiz team!
Primary 4 Trip
As part of their Social Studies topic Primary 4 will be taking a tour of Glasgow on the City Sightseeing open top bus on Thursday 25th September.
Primary 5 Trip
Primary 5 children are visiting Stirling Castle on Wednesday 24th September as part of their Scottish Wars of Independence topic.

As part of their Religious and Moral Education topic on Churches and Worship Primary 5 are visiting Bourock Church on Tuesday 23rd September.
Jeans for Genes Day
Primary 7 are raising money for Genetic Disorders UK. They would like as many children as possible to hand in a donation to wear their jeans to school on Friday 19th September.
Referendum Closure
School will be closed on Thursday 18th September.

Ryder Cup Challenge
To celebrate the Ryder Cup, our Active Schools team are co-ordinating a ‘wheelie bin’ challenge for pupils in Primary 5-7. Pupils will take part in a 30 minute challenge on Wednesday 10th September and should bring gym shoes on this day. Pupils in Primary 1-4 will have the opportunity to take part in a colouring competition.
Diversity Day
Primary 6 are visiting Barrhead Sports Centre for Diversity Day. Pupils are taking part in a range of sporting and arts activities to celebrate diversity in our community. Parents and pupils also enjoyed a Diversity Day awards ceremony in the afternoon. Thank you to our parent helpers and parents who attended the awards ceremony.
