Well done to everyone using Skoolbo – Busby Primary is now in the number one position in the UK for the number of questions answered. We are also third in the world! Let’s see if we can keep this up!
P2/3 Toy Sale
Thank you to everyone for supporting the P2/3 Toy Sale. The class raised £140.32 for Yorkhill.
Parent Council Meeting
All parents are warmly invited to the next Busby Parent Council Meeting. The meeting is on Wednesday 14th January, 6.45pm at Williamwood High School. Please come along.

New Lunch Menus
As of Monday 5th January all Primary 1 – Primary 3 pupils will be provided with a school lunch, menu available below.
Primary 4 – Primary 7 will continue as before – new menu available below.
P1 Registration Week
The date for school registration for August 2015 is the week beginning 12th January until 16th January 2015 during any afternoon between 1.30pm and 2.45pm. Please note that you should bring the following documents as proof of catchment when registering your child at the school:-
Birth Certificate
Child Benefit Statement
Council Tax Notice
Mortgage Statement or Rental Agreement (minimum 1 year’s lease)
If the Child Benefit Statement is unavailable, the following will be accepted: – Driving Licence, Utility Bill or Bank Statement.
Christmas Celebrations
Thank you to all the parents and children for all the fantastic Nativities, assemblies and shows held this week. Here are a few pictures of the many festive events that has put everyone in the mood for Christmas.

Parents sharpened their food preparation and cooking skills at the Cook Along Master Class last week. The pupils really enjoyed sharing their learning and said they were going to help with Christmas Dinner!

The children may want to watch The BBC Ten Pieces film on Boxing Day at 9.50am on BBC2 – we have something very exciting happening in March linked to this. Further news to follow!
Busby Primary and Nursery Class Inspection Report
Busby Primary are pleased to share the recent joint inspection report by Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate. We are very proud of all our achievements and we will be celebrating the release of the publication at the mince pie and carol evening tonight at 6.30pm – 7.30pm.
Thank-you to all the parents and other partners who volunteered their time to speak to the inspection team.
P2/3 Toy Sale – Monday 15th December
Primary 2/3 will be holding a toy sale on Monday the 15th of December to raise money for Yorkhill Children’s Charity. We are asking people to donate any unwanted toys and books they have to our sale. These should be brought to the P2/3 classroom this week. We ask that any donations are in good condition. If pupils could bring up to £1 on Monday to purchase something from our sale it would be appreciated. Thank you for your help in raising money for a very special charity!
