Students can still sign-up for an Easter School session by completing the attached form and handing it in to the school office.  A fee of £3 per day is charged and we ask that this is paid on-linePlease do not bring cash or cheques to the school office.

We hope the Easter School study sessions are well attended and that students make the most of the support that is available.

We have been emphasising to all pupils that with the start of the new term, and hopefully some better weather, we are looking for a full turn out in full uniform again – please assist us in ensuring that the young people turn up wearing their blazer, black shoes and appropriate trousers or skirts – we have been seeing some black denims and skinny trousers creeping in recently.

SQAWith the SQA exams looming it will not be a holiday for all – both staff and pupils. Our Easter School programme will run as usual on the Tues – Thurs of each week with 2 sessions each morning 9.00 – 10.30 then 10.45 – 12.15. There is a good selection of sessions at different levels on offer. Pupils should have signed up and paid on-line by now. Don’t miss out on this useful study aid.

In the meantime, have a great break and we hope to see you all back in April, refreshed and ready for the final push this session.

Well done Kyle and keep up the hard work!

Italy Ski Trip – Feb 2015

Ski

This year’s Ski Trip staff and pupils were highly IT literate. They kept us informed daily via TWITTER of their progress with pictures and tweets.

They also took the school’s new GoPro video camera. This camera is the size of a matchbox and can be fastened to your body on a special harness. It is designed to give action filming while taking part in sporting activities – and skiing was the ideal sport to try it out on.

Pupils and staff took turns at wearing the camera and filmed lots of the action.

On their return, our talented school Media Technician, Matthew Mathieson,  downloaded some of the clips and put them together into an action-packed film. Check it out below!
