IMPORTANT PARENT/CARER MEETING
A meeting for Parents/Carers with their son/daughter will take place on Thursday, 24th May 2012 at 5.30pm in Ralston House Area. This meeting will inform you of final travel arrangements, conduct and luggage information etc. Miss Bradley looks forward to seeing everyone there. If you are unable to attend please contact Miss Bradley prior to the meeting.
Please note that the meeting of the Minority Ethnic Parent Forum, scheduled for 17 May, has been postponed until further notice.

Congratulations to Barrhead High’s Fairtrade Group. As a result of the hard work and commitment shown by the pupils we have once again been awarded Fairtrade School status.
As a trial, to encourage a “greener” approach and help save on paper, we have today issued a summary version of the Newsletter on paper to all pupils (apologies for the October date!). The full version can be accessed directly from the website or a paper copy can be obtained from the School Office. Please let us know if you find this an acceptable approach for the future.
Congratulations to Ross Bernard, Ross McLardy, Noah Telerman, Ally Campbell, Kirsty McDonald, Alan Watson (all S3), Olivia Ross, Lorna Cairns, Nicola Hopewell, Ciara Morton (all S4) and Richard Barr (S5) on completing a 2 day, 1 night Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s award practice expedition. The pupils enjoyed themselves and were a credit to the school. Good luck for the final expedition in June!

Rebecca Ziola and Connor Wasson – our Head Girl and Head Boy- received an engraved glass plaque and a certificate from Councillor Laverty and John Wilson, Director of Education, for recognition of the contributions they have made to Barrhead High School this Session. Connor and Rebecca have one final task left this Session – their Graduation speech – before moving onto study Architecture (Rebecca) and Physics (Connor) at University in September.
