Lockdown Poems
Our first Lockdown Poem comes from Zakk. He has chosen an acrostic poem …
Lots of time to spend with my family
Only going outside when necessary
Canβt play with my friends
Keeping positive and fit
Doing my best to stay safe
Observing the lockdown rules
We are all stuck in lockdown
Not to leave the house.
Our next poem comes from Maya. I particularly love the ending “Lockdown isn’t lonely when you have love in your heart. Maybe, after all, this can be a new start” – beautiful Maya!

Reflecting on Week 4 of Home Learning
What a fun week of home learning!! As well as our daily Numeracy, Literacy and Health and Wellbeing tasks, we had lots of fantastic challenges too.
On Tuesday, we created some Origami in a creative challenge. Here Chloe is showing her hopping frog.
We also joined together to pay our respects to theΒ frontline workers who have died in the fight against coronavirus, by participating in a minute’s silence at 11am. This was organised by Unison, the Royal College of Midwives and the Royal College of Nursing.
On Thursday, we held our own ‘Throwback Thursday’ challenge. Throughout the day, I posted baby pictures of children in our class and Mearns Primary School staff. This challenge was definitely a hit!
We are now ready for week 5 of home learning, which starts with STAR WARS DAY … MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!
