We had the most glorious day for our sports. The sun shone and we participated in archery, beat the goalie, tug of war and an obstacle course. We finished the afternoon with competitive sprints (boys/girls) and a well deserved ice lolly! Well done to everyone who took part.
We enjoyed learning about the careers of different engineers yesterday and getting the chance to ask them questions. We then used our team-working skills to build towers to hold marshmallows. Unfortunately not all of them survived! The tallest successful tower was 25cm!
We decided that we wanted to play games during our party and enjoyed Who Stole Santa’s Cookies and Pictionary. We also watched a bit of a film whilst we had our snacks. There were lots of lovely outfits as well!
We have been busy practising for our Christmas Performance which should be available for viewing next week. We are playing some Christmas songs on the glockenspiel and have very much enjoyed the joyous tunes!
We looked at different products and how we could improve their design.
We have been enjoying taking part in maths week. We learned about Leonardo Fibonacci and the number sequence he discovered. We have also been looking at symmetrical invertebrates and we took part in a maths treasure hunt outside. 
4.14 had a brilliant day out at Vikingar in Largs. We experienced life as a Viking – spending time in a longhouse learning about daily life & comparing it to our own. We were surprised they ate and drank some of the same things we do, 
but instead of a cup used a ram’s horn for drinking, loudly shouting “Skol!” We tried on helmets & clothes of a typical villager from the farmer & craftsman to the wealthy trader. We learnt about the history of battle of Largs which took place right across the road on the beach! It really brought the topic to life & the class would highly recommend 😍
