What a brilliant morning we enjoyed working our way round all the hallowe’en themed activities on our brand new 3G pitch. We were honoured to be one of the first classes to use it and it was fabulous to watch the opening ceremony with Mrs Shaw, Director of Education, cutting the ribbon to officially open our pitch.
We are looking forward to all the amazing games and fun we will have on the pitch for years to come.
The week before the October holiday we all made and designed our fantastic high tech outdoor clip board flower presses before exploring the eco garden and finding some interesting leaves and flowers. Mrs Kelly told us what some of them were and we loo looked some of them up on an app.
We carefully placed the items we picked into our presses and stored them away in our tray…..ready for two weeks later when we had the big reveal this morning.
it was so interesting looking at what happened to the leaves and flowers over the two weeks they were being pressed. You can see some pictures above and hear some of the things we discussed in the video clips below too.
Today we learned about acute, obtuse and right angles and identified them in the shapes we made using a variety of materials outdoors.
We we also worked on some problem solving with hundreds tens and units.
