What an interesting morning we had listening to Mrs Aisha Aman, STEM ambassador and working together to create food chains. We learned all about producers, primary and secondary consumers, plants, herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. Our teachers were really impressed with all the forest animals and living things we knew like voles, caterpillars, hedgehogs, badgers, daisies, trees, mice, foxes, buzzards and eagles.

Easter
What an interesting time we had listening to our visitor Stuart from the pastoral team who talked to us about Easter and how Christians celebrate this very special time in the calendar. He explained all about what happened during Holy Week more than 2000 years ago. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Fun with Bloxels
Mr Hull, a digital leader in East Renfrewshire,
visited us today and introduced us to a new app on the iPads called Bloxels. We learned how to design a multi level game focusing on the three Ds….debug, decompose, design. We especially enjoyed creating our own characters using the bloxels board. Thank you for this fun session Mr Hull.
Forestry
Primary three have all been learning about forestry and the importance of forests across the world. Trees are essential for life, not only human life but plant and animal life too. We decided to go outside and explore the school grounds then make some forest words using sticks and leaves. We had great fun and thought carefully about our spelling rules at the same time. Perfect outdoor learning!
STEM fortnight
We have enjoyed a marvellous start to the fortnight welcoming many visitors and specialists and learning so much about careers in science and technology.
