We have been a doing typing club in digital learning. We have been also learning about the Queen and her life and there was an assembly dedicated to her because of her recent passing.

Heath brought in a letter that he received from the Queen’s assistant. He wrote to the queen to give his condolences and highlight some concerns about Climate Change.

We enjoyed a colourful  afternoon of discussing colours, sharing ideas and working together to match colours.

Our afternoon ended with us creating these lovely bright daisies using outdoor materials as paint brushes.

Today we enjoyed our time outdoors working in pairs to study nouns and adjectives. We took part in lots of activities to encourage us to think about these different types of words and enjoyed exploring our school grounds while we did this.

We had lots of fun at our Christmas party. It may have been a little different this year, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves!

Some of our activities included pass the parcel, walking musical hoops, Snowman drive, corners and enjoying our special snacks from home!

The class enjoyed creating intricate designs on Christmas baubles last week. They thought carefully about how to create and colour different patterns. Check out some of the finished designs.

During our Science lessons this term we looked into how natural resources and materials are being used and the importance of their conservation. We have discussed the impact of our actions on the environment and decided to make posters encouraging others to take different steps to help out planet.

This term, we also worked with magnets, investigating which objects are magnetic and how magnetic field works. We conducted a series of challenges to see how magnets exert a non-contact force and then designed, constructed and played our own games using magnets. It was lots of fun!

Next, we made mind maps of what Energy is and talked about different types of Energy. We talked about heat, sound, light and electrical energy and we are able to identify examples of different sources of energy.
