We hope you have had a good week. Last week we started our Designers Mearns Masters . For this Mearns Masters we will be designing toys for the nursery. We split into little companies and went down to the street and got the nursery children to design a soft toy. For example group 7 are making sonic for Calum and group 4 are making a mermaid for Hania.
Firstly, we learned Scottish country dancing and then we rehearsed for the Burns Celebration. It was on Wednesday 25th January. We performed in the Street and then danced in the gym, hundreds of parents and carers came along and it was lots of fun,
This week in p5 on we learned our lines for our poem ‘To a Louse’ by Rabbie Burns. We are doing a burns Celebration next Wednesday evening for our parents. We have also been learning about the life and work of Rabbie Burns in class.
This week in P5.18 we played with construction toys, learning about 3D shape and materials. We also made Christmas Cards that we are able to buy once they are sent away. We painted Dias for Diwali in the art room with bright metallic paints.
We also started our new Mearns Masters called Gastronomers also known as cooking. We made shortbread, it was tasty. One half of the class went but the other stayed and wrote about shortbread and the recipe.
This Thursday the oak group is going to a movie as a reward for winning the house points for Term 1. On Friday all of us are going to a movie! We are very excited!
