In S3 pupils are able to choose to continue with Practical Woodwork or Graphic Communication (or both if they wish!).
Graphic Communication
What will you do in S3?
Over the course of S3, you will continue to develop your skills using the two computer packages you have used in S2 – Autodesk Inventor and Serif Page Plus.
CAD Modelling: You will learn more about 3D modelling techniques and will use more advanced commands on Autodesk Inventor.
Desktop Publishing: You will learn about a range of desktop publishing elements and principles which are applied to the development of DTP items.
You will have the chance to use Serif Page Plus to create your own DTP items.
Manual Graphics: As well as computer work, you will also learn about different types of drawing and will complete work using the drawing boards and equipment. You will also practice your 2D and 3D sketching.
