Literacy

In literacy we have been reading a new non-fiction book called Dr Maggie’s Grand Tour of the Solar System. It is all about space and the planets. We have also been writing persuasive pieces about what you would say to persuade someone to get something that would benefit you.

Numeracy

In numeracy we have been learning about multiplication and division fact families. We have also been using Numicon to learn how to divide.

Across the Curriculum

We have been learning about natural and synthetic materials in science. We have also been exploring prehistory and how archaeologists research about the past.

In P.E we have been learning to do forward and backwards rolls using various equipment.

In literacy we have been learning to write a narrative about crazy creatures. We had to include interesting punctuation, similes and metaphors.

Numeracy

In numeracy we have been learning about multiples and factors in multiplication and division.

Across the Curriculum

We have been practising for the Chess Championship. We have also started gymnastics in P.E. As well as this, as part of our Africa topic we learned to make a Kalimba which is an African instrument.
