Spelling

Happy Monday!

Our spelling phoneme this week is /sh/. We learned in class today that there are many spelling variations of this phoneme and we worked hard to identify them in a reading passage. Therefore, today’s list is mostly made up of words from this passage. These words may be difficult, but remember, the most important thing is the exposure of these spelling variations; knowing they exist then reading and applying them in different contexts and not worry too much about the spell check result as long as you try your best.
Please click on link below to view this week’s spelling words. As always, once you have practised the word list for your group, feel free to try the others.

In numeracy we have been learning to measure accurately to the nearest quarter metre.

We designed new flavours of ice-cream for Woody’s and tried to persuade our peers to choose our flavours! There were some interesting combinations!

Well done to all our young farmers on showing their calves, we were very impressed by their handling of the animals. We all enjoyed our visit and lucked out with the weather.
