Today we created some wonderful, witchy art work to display in our community. Take a look!

We also had a chance to taste some delicious fruit, including strawberries, grapes, watermelon, pineapple and mango. We all enjoyed the fruits and some of us even discovered some new favourites.

It has been a fantastic first term in Primary 1/2. I am so proud of every single on of the pupils in our class and their achievements so far. It has been a very busy term and I am sure lots of P1/2 are looking forward to a well earned break and spending time at home with their families. I look forward to seeing you all again after the October break.

We’ve had a busy week exploring sounds, numbers, colours and autumn!

In literacy, we focused on the ‘ai’ and ‘p’ sounds. Our success criteria helped us remember to say, hear, spot and write each sound, as well as practise correct letter formation. We also explored descriptive writing, using words to bring an autumn scene to life.

We reflected on our September self-portraits, comparing them with our first portraits from August. It was lovely to hear the children discuss how their work has improved and notice the progress they have made.

In numeracy, we continued to develop our understanding of place value, alongside practising counting and number recognition.

Our colour mixing explorations gave us opportunities to discover how colours combine to make new ones. We learned about primary and secondary colours, and some of us also discussed warm and cool colours.

We have continued to enjoy exploring sounds through music and talking about what we enjoy. Some of the children performed “I’m a Little Teapot” for the rest of the class. It was a lovely opportunity to share their enjoyment of music!

Well done, everyone, for another super week of learning.
