Beautiful Inside and Out

Leo was delighted to receive a cuddle box and gave us permission to share this lovely photograph.  He was nominated for this through the charity ‘Beautiful Inside and Out’.

Pauline Moriarty , founder of Beautiful Inside and Out (Scio) came to our school in May 2019 to give the background , aims and expanding services of this charity with an emphasis on some of the things we can all do to promote the wellbeing of our young people.

Outdoor Learning Wishlist

To all of our Onthank families and friends,

We are in the process of giving our outdoor areas some much needed TLC but we need YOU to help! If you are keen and able to help out, please don’t shy away and lend a hand. You may also have access to some supplies from our wish list – if you or someone you know is able to source some of the items please do get in touch.

We have a wooden train in the back car park which is need of some TLC. The flooring is weak, the roof is needing repaired and it could use a fresh coat of paint. If anyone can provide resources or expertise to help us with this, please contact the office.

Hallowe’en @ Onthank

Our young people and staff had a fantastic end to the week with our Hallowe’en festivities! The classes were full of ghouls, frightening creatures, and some scary faces…and that was only the staff! The activities included; Outdoor Learning with Dean Park Rangers creating bird feeders and studying bats and other creepy crawlies, dance and disco with Mr Swan who kept us all moving, a special spooky lunch menu and class themed activities and games!

Our school was alive and full of excitement, joy and happiness, with many of our young people commenting on how much they enjoyed the day! Thank you to everyone that helped to organise the activities – it made our Hallowe’en week extra special and we all had fantastic fun! 🎃👻
