#THANKYOU from #OURONTHANK

What an AMAZING first week back in school we have shared with our P1, P2 & P3 young people! We are so lucky! ❤⭐️

Here’s a short message from our #superstars saying #thankyou to our parents/carers and whole school community for supporting our staggered entry/exit times, maintaining 2m social distancing, and always smiling behind the masks.

We can’t wait to welcome P4-P7 back soon – keep up the great work online!

Bring on next week! Stay safe. ❤⭐️

P1-P3 Thank You!

Wow, what an amazing first day back for our P1-P3 school community. Our highlight was seeing your happy, smiling faces and hearing some of our classrooms come to life again.

We hope you enjoyed your first day back and are looking forward to the rest of the week. Special thanks to our parents/carers for following our entry/exit safety procedures which have minimised gatherings and will continue to keep our whole school community safe.

Please remember to check the weather forecast and pack your umbrella for a rainy day! #OurOnthank #BringOnTomorrow

#OurOnthankOnline – Fitbits!

“When you exercise, your body releases endorphins – a chemical which can make you feel happy, confident, and capable.”

As it is Children’s Mental Health Week this week, we are setting you a physical challenge for all the family! All you have to do is send in a photo or a short video of you taking part in a fitness or sporting activity!

Here is Mr McClure explaining why exercise and physical activity plays such an important part in your overall health and wellbeing:

Any snapshots should be sent to Miss Muir at susan.muir@eastayrshire.org.uk, or your child can post on the Whole School Teams Page (P3-P7 only). Any photos should be sent by 12pm on Friday 5th February 2021 if you wish to participate.

We can’t wait to see what you get up to this week!

Big Burns Night In Thanks!

A huge thank you to our Parent Council and #OurOnthank community for organising and attending the #BigBurnsNightIn on Friday evening. We had over 60 families and staff members sign up to the quiz night, which had us all testing our general knowledge on all things Scottish!

Our night also featured our guest piper, Ryan Hume, and LIVE performances from our overall stage winners from the whole school Scottish Poetry Competition. All of our poetry entrants did a fantastic job – we are immensely proud of you all.

It was then over to our community who held an anonymous vote, and after watching all poetry performances, crowned Elise Mc from P1M our overall winner – Congratulations Elise!
