International Nurses Day
Tuesday the 12th of May is International Nurses Day.
We are so thankful for our nurses who work around the clock to help patients, especially during this pandemic.
Today also marks 200 years since Florence Nightingale, the Lady with the Lamp was born.
Why not find out a little more about her by watching the clip below.

I have also attached a few activities you might like to complete but please remember these activities are just ideas you do not need to complete everything.

Thank You Baked Potato
Happy Monday boys , girls and squirrels! We hope that you had a lovely Friday holiday and that you got the chance to watch some of the VE day celebrations on the television. It was amazing to see the country say thank you to the heroes from 75 years ago and it brought home to us how important it is to continue to appreciate the work being done today by key workers. We must also thank all of you amazing children at home. You are working incredibly hard on your school work and we know you are continuing to wash your hands and stay away from other people.
Oh wait … we forgot to say thank you to Baked Potato ! We better do that now! Sing along if you want, the lyrics are easy to learn.
Keep safe,
#THEP3TEACHERS

It really would be lovely if we could all join in with this.

Check to see if you spot your picture in your class Photo Round-up in your own class tabs.
In the ‘Just for FUN!’ tab, Miss Hamilton has posted a Photo Quiz to keep you busy over the weekend. See if you can work it out!

In the French tab, Mrs Nelson also posted a challenge…
Finally, even though no new activities will be posted tomorrow, you can still log on to your class Teams page and have a chat with your friends.
All that’s left to say is, have a wonderful BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!! Hopefully the sunshine will continue. Take care, stay safe and we shall see you all back here bright and early on Monday morning!
Virtual School Assembly
There will be a Virtual Whole School Assembly on Thursday 7th May 2020! We anticipate this to last between 20-25 minutes and will be published at 10am on our school blog. It will include singing and dancing and everyone is welcome to log on and join in from home.
Newsround
Newsround is a great way of letting young children know what is going on in the world but at a level they can understand. The show is updated every weekday. Yesterday’s Newsround showed a little preview of a CBBC show called Operation Ouch! which will be aired soon explaining all about the corna virus.
Sum Dog Issues
Hi folks
We hear some of you are having issues with Sum Dog. The main login screen should look like this…
The user name is the letters and numbers we issued you with and password is primary3. This should then take you straight into 3 options of maths, spelling or grammar. On a first visit you need to answer so many questions for the system to work out your level.
Hope this helps.
Victory in Europe (VE) Day 75
On Friday we are on holiday from school for a very important reason, we will be commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day when the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. We have changed the timetable to allow for this – catch up day will now be on Thursday instead of Friday.
We have lots of activities for you to try out to get into the party spirit, even if we are in lockdown!
You could design a poster to put up in your window, make some decorative bunting and maybe even plan a tea party with your family on Friday. I’ve added some links to worksheets that will give you some ideas. As always this is a guide and not an expectation that every sheet is completed.

Throwback Thursday 30.4.20
We have been missing you all and have been looking back to remember the happy times we had in school this year before we had to lockdown. We have decided to post some throwback Thursday photos. Have a look and see if you can spot yourself building a sukkot during rotations at the start of P3.

Friday Photos
If you have photos of work or what you’ve been up to this week that you would like posted on your class tab tomorrow please email to your teacher or post in Teams. It’s really lovely to see how hard you are working at home and managing to have fun too!
