We are looking at numbers to 1000 today in preparation for rounding to the nearest 10/100. It is also a catch up day to complete anything you missed this week.

Thursday 14th January – Red and Blue
Okay, yesterday some of you saw “up and down” sums for the first time, others had tried them before. Please don’t panic. There is a sheet attached explaining how to do them again, with regrouping. Feel free to print it if you need it. Otherwise go ahead and try the worksheet (there are actually 3 pages to it but don’t feel you need to do them all) before seeing how your mental agility is with this online quiz where you can choose how hard the quiz is. Wednesday 13th Jan
Red and Blue are going to try some addition to 100 with grouping. Now don’t panic. If you feel you are not ready for it I have attached a sheet without grouping. If you feel ready to give it a go, then watch the video first then attempt the sheet. We all learn at different speeds so don’t feel pressured into trying the carrying sums.
In the video the teacher draws the extra “ten” at the top of the sum. However we teach you to put it below the line. Watch both videos before starting any sheets.
