As part of this week’s P5-7 assembly PC Shirkie was able to deliver a talk about internet safety and the risks of adults posing as children on some of the favourite platforms.
With some children having 100s of friends, PC Shirkie reminded pupils that they should only be adding people they actually know as a way to keep themselves safe and not to give out any identifying information .
I know the school, parents and the police all work had to keep our children safe as they try and navigate the digital world . A link to CEOP is on our website which provides more information and support if you have any concerns.
Please see the app for our Sway to this week’s achievement assembly.
We will be celebrating World Book Day 2026 on Thursday 5th March.
Pupils may come to school dressed as their favourite book character if they wish, or bring an accessory. We encourage pupils, where possible, to get creative – there is no need to buy a new costume for this occasion. Children can also bring their favourite book to school to share.
Costume Swap – If your child has any costumes they have outgrown and wish to donate, they can do so prior to World Book Day.
Breakfast Book Day – On the morning of Thursday 5th March, pupils are invited to a special breakfast book club. Toast and juice will be served from 8:30am with stories being shared.

Parents / carers who have returned their time-slot preference letters have been allocated a date and time for their meetings. We have tried to accomodate requests as best as possible.
Please look out for time-slot confirmation slips being sent home in school bags this afternoon.

Please note that a strict timeable is being operated on the days/evenings of the meetings, and time-slots will last no longer than 10 minutes duration.
