Our P3/4 pupils will be helping to plant some of the community hanging baskets at the Ochiltree Community Hub in the morning of Wednesday 27th May.
It is advised that pupils come prepared with weather-appropriate clothing for the activity as it will take place outside.
Hopefully sunscreen and sunhats will be required rather than waterproofs.
If you do not wish your child to take part, please inform the school on 01290 700351 or at eaOchiltree.PS@eastayrshire.org.uk.
Thank you

Thursday 14th May
P3/4 will be going to Dumfries House to attend the Festival of Farming on Thursday 14th May, 9:00am – 2pm.
As pupils will be out of school over lunchtime, a snack, drink and packed lunch will be required.
If you wish your child to have a school packed lunch, please contact the school by telephone 01290 700351 or by email at eaOchiltree.PS@eastayrshire.org.uk no later than noon Monday 11th May.
As this is an outdoor event, suitable waterproof jackets and footwear is advised.
Please feel free to contact the school if you need any further information.
Thank you

Mrs Meek and Miss Smith invite parents and carers to the classroom on Thursday 26th February 2026 to share our learning with a focus on reading and literacy.
We look forward to seeing you in school from 2pm onwards.
Thank you

On Monday 16th February, as part of Health & Wellbeing, pupils will be given the opportunity to make and taste a fruit milkshake and butter (if there is time).
If you do NOT wish your child to taste these products after they have been made, please let the school know either at eaOchiltree.PS@eastayrshire.org.uk or on 01290 700351.
Thank you

P3/4 Inter Disciplinary Learning
We are learning about jobs in our local community.
We were wondering if there are any parents, carers or relatives who work in Ochiltree that would like to come along and talk to our class.
We are also interested to hear from those who volunteer in the community or have jobs that allow them to work from home.
If you are able to help us in our learning, then please contact the school office who will put you in touch with Mrs Meek.
Thank you,
Mrs Meek
